Groups from Lister are taking part in the Music for Youth regional festival for the first time this year. It is a prestigious festival with over 40 000 young musicians participating in regional festivals all over the UK, with the best groups being chosen to take part in the national festival in July. Two of our bands – TP Groove and One BIG Band! – are performing at the Rock and Pop festival this Sunday at Rich Mix in Shoreditch from 1pm. TP Groove will be performing their own original music, and they were sounding extremely funky in rehearsals this week!

On Monday, 70 students from Lister and neighbouring E13 primary schools will be taking part in the festival at Union Chapel in Islington. The Lister Orchestra and the E13 Choir will be performing in the morning session starting at 10am.
